Pokémon Go has taken the United States by Storm! Late on July 6th, the debut of the iOS and Android Apps hit the streets! There have been kids and adults alike combing streets, parks, churches and neighborhoods looking for Pokémon. I have been asked by parents to explain what is going on and what I think about it. Pokémon has a long history that started initially as a Game Boy game and quickly moved into a Trading Card Game. Over the years, the platform for the video game has evolved as Nintendo grew their company. And in this latest evolution, Nintendo converted their hand held video game into the real world and brought us Pokémon Go! The Pokémon world has now become your world; you are the trainer interacting in a real and virtual world. Instead of being tied down to your DS, you are free to GO explore your surroundings, to find Pokémon, and meet other trainers. It's a whole new gaming experience! However, with all of the rush and excitement of something new, parents always need to step back and examine what's going on. Here are a few things that I think Parents Should Know about Pokémon Go!
