The Wine and Dine was full of excitement for me because it was the end to my Coast to Coast challenge: The runDisney test of commitment to run a race at Disneyland and Disney World!
And I did it!

It all started in Corral D

The race started with Fireworks and Fanfare!
Each Corral was honored with Fireworks to Start the Race!

4 miles to Animal Kingdom!

You left Animal Kingdom with 5 miles to go to Hollywood Studios

It was well worth the wait! The race map shows general information which gives Disney the ability to make last minute logistic changes while keeping true to the course. So, we weren't sure if we'd get to see the Lights - So Happy!

And I got to see DarthVader and Boba Fett! Awesome! There weren't as many characters out for pictures as with other race weekends, but these 2 guys were the most important for me!
And then we were out the back lot and 2 more miles to Epcot!

We entered Epcot, ran by the ball, and out to the Wonder Parking Lot and Done!
I have officially completed the Wine and Dine!

The Food and Wine Festival was open to all the runners till 4am!

The Festival is held in the World Showcase - and it was beautiful at night!

Special Disney Characters were there to greet you like Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and Louis!

The Food and Wine Festival provides delicious cuisine from over 25 countries all in one place!
Small kiosks were set up throughout the World Showcase,
and you are given a choice of several samples and wine or beer from each country.

Disney gave each runner a gift card for $10! So off I went!
|
 |
Definitely an enjoyable evening as you walked around the Showcase.
Disney kept it open till 4am - and I closed the place down!
